What it shows#

Requests appear as they are made, with the model, the feature making them, and — when detailed tracking is on — the prompt and the response.

When it is the right tool#

Reproducing a problem. Open it in one browser tab, trigger the problem in another, and watch what actually happens. Far faster than reading logs after the fact.

Watching a bulk run or an agent. A rule making fourteen requests per post, or an agent working through twenty steps, is visible as it happens. You can see where it stalls.

Confirming a feature is doing what you think. If you expect one request and see three, something is enabled that you did not intend — internet access, retrieval, a retry.

Checking that something is happening at all. Silence during a run that should be generating is diagnostic in itself.

When to use the logs instead#

Historical questions. "What did last week cost?" belongs in Usage Logs.

Errors from a scheduled run. You were not watching. Activity Logs has it.

Anything you need to keep. The live stream is transient.

Detailed tracking#

Enable Detailed Usage Tracking (Settings › Statistics) makes prompts and responses visible in the stream as well as stored.

Performance#

The screen polls for updates while open. It is a diagnostic tool, not a dashboard — close it when you are finished rather than leaving it open on a monitor.

Access#

Requires access_aiomatic_menu. Because it can display prompt and response content, restrict it in the same way you would restrict the logs. See Menu restrictions.
