SEO plugins
The six SEO plugins Aimogen Pro writes metadata to, the exact meta keys used, and the detection order.
Aimogen Pro writes SEO metadata directly into whichever supported SEO plugin is active, so the fields appear in that plugin interface as though typed by hand.
Supported plugins#
Detection runs in this order and stops at the first match:

If none is active, generated SEO fields have nowhere to go and are skipped. The post excerpt is still written, and many themes use it as a fallback description.

Plugin-specific notes#
Yoast SEO receives both description and focus keyword. Yoast recalculates its readability and SEO analysis when the post is next saved, so a freshly written description may not immediately show a green light in the sidebar.
Rank Math caches its analysis similarly. Re-saving the post refreshes it.
Squirrly SEO receives both description and keywords.
All in One SEO, The SEO Framework and SEOPress receive the description.
Backfilling existing content#
The common project: generate SEO descriptions for posts that lack them.
- Build an editor template that generates only the SEO description.
- Use bulk editing.
- Filter with
SEO Meta Description Statusset to posts without one. - Use a cheap model — descriptions are short.
- Process in batches.
Honest expectations#
Aimogen Pro fills SEO fields well. It does not do SEO.
A good meta description improves click-through on a result you already rank for. It does not create the ranking. Rankings come from content quality, topical coverage, site architecture, links and user behaviour.
Publishing large volumes of thin AI content with perfect meta tags is a known way to be penalised. Use the AI Content Editor to improve substance, not just metadata.
Common problems#
SEO fields stay empty. No supported plugin is active, or SEO generation is off in the rule.
Written to the wrong plugin. Two SEO plugins are active.
Descriptions truncated in search results. Over about 155 characters. Set
Limit AI Generated Meta Description Character Count.
The SEO plugin still shows a warning. It caches its analysis. Re-save the post.
