Featured images and in-post media
How Aimogen Pro chooses, generates and attaches featured images, in-article images, videos and social embeds, and how media is stored.
Aimogen Pro can attach a featured image, images inside the article, a related video, and social network embeds. This page covers the choices; the underlying providers are in Image and video providers.

Source 9 is useful when you have a curated image bank and want variety without generation cost. Since
2.8.8, a chosen royalty-free image is used only once per created post, so a bulk run does not repeat the
same picture.
In-article images#

Image prompts#
Image prompts accept the same placeholders as text prompts, including
%%post_title%%, %%post_content%%, %%post_content_plain_text%%, %%post_excerpt%%, %%post_cats%%,
%%post_tags%%, %%blog_title%%, %%author_name%%, %%current_date_time%%,
%%related_questions_KEYWORD%% and any custom shortcodes you define on the rule.
Putting several prompts on separate lines gives visual variety across a bulk run — one is selected per post.
Pointing the field at a .txt file URL lets you maintain a large prompt bank outside WordPress.
Storing images#
Settings › AI Images › Copy Royalty Free / AI Images From Post Content decides where images end up:

Processing on import#
Applies only when images are copied locally:

Resizing matters: a 1024×1024 PNG from an image model is often several megabytes.
Image SEO#
The plugin can generate alt text, captions, descriptions and titles for imported images. See Media Library tools and SEO titles, descriptions and taxonomies.

Royalty-free sources often require attribution. %%royalty_free_image_attribution%% produces the correct
credit text — include it in your append field or your image caption where the licence requires it.
Videos#

Version 2.8.3 improved the relevance of videos returned for generated articles.
Social embeds#

Embeds are live third-party content. They can disappear if the original post is deleted, and they load scripts from the network, which affects page performance and privacy. Use sparingly.
Common problems#
No featured image
Auto Set A Featured Image For Posts is off, the chosen source has no credentials, or generation failed.
Check Activity Logs.
Images broken after a few hours Copying is disabled. Turn it on.
Every post has the same image One image prompt with a low-variety model. Add more prompt lines.
Media Library is filling with huge files Set the resize width and compression quality.
Royalty-free images do not match the article Improve keyword extraction under Settings › Royalty Free Images › Improve Royalty Free Featured Image Precision Using This Service — either an AI model or TextRazor.
