2023 Year End Review – AI, Full Steam Ahead!
Guys, it is the end of the year again and you are reading the official End Review Blog Post for 2023!
Once again, I am glad that I have the ability to write this post, also, I am glad that you are here to read it! You can check also previous “Year in Review” posts I wrote: 2018 | 2019 | 2020 | 2021 | 2022.
As I mentioned each time in these blog posts, I really enjoy doing these review blog posts, because I can reflect on the progress I made during the year that just passed, check on the good and bad stuff that happened and try to improve stuff for the next year.
As we bid farewell to 2023, it’s time to look back on a year filled with advancements, challenges, and personal growth. This year has been a significant one, especially in the realm of technology and content creation. Let’s dive into the highlights and key takeaways from 2023.
This year thought me that it is time to shift my strategy from “shotgun” approach to “sniper” approach. This means that before 2023, I was focusing my attention on multiple plugins, steadily creating new plugins over and over again, when they were ready. Like this, in the past years, I managed to release 10-20 plugins in a single year. However, 2023 changed this. In 2023, I released exactly 0 plugins. Yes, you heard this right. In 2023 I did not release any new plugins, but instead, I fully focused my attention and working hours on Aiomatic.
Also, a very important thing that I NEED to mention is that I am extremely grateful for the support of my blog readers, YouTube subscribers and customers! Without you guys, all this awesome stuff would not be possible. So, a big Thank You for being a part of the CodeRevolution family! 🙂
Now lets check 2023 in more detail
1. CodeRevolution on CodeCanyon
No new plugins in 2023. But this is OK, as Aiomatic grew and covers the functionality of at least 10 different plugins! So yeah, Aiomatic is now an All-In-One AI plugin, any feature AI related you need, you will find in it. Will continue to focus my attention and working hours on it.
One of the most notable aspects of 2023 was my dedication to developing the Aiomatic plugin. This year marked a shift from my usual pattern of releasing multiple new plugins to focusing solely on enhancing Aiomatic. The plugin has evolved tremendously, integrating functionalities like chatbot capabilities, content creation and editing, model training, and incorporating advanced technologies like GPT-4 and Stable Diffusion. The Omni blocks update, in particular, has been a game-changer, adding even more versatility to Aiomatic.
Because of Aiomatic’s popularity between customers, in 2023, CodeRevolution made a record breaking 2,456 sales (divided between all the plugins I created, but mostly coming from Aiomatic’s part, which alone generated over 1,250 sales in 2023). The total sales count went up 12% from the sales count of last year, which is a great thing, allowing me to continue working on my own, on the plugins I create. For this, once again, I am grateful to everybody who purchased any of my plugins or who follows my blog or CodeRevolutionTV on YouTube.
The goal for 2024 is to continue to work full steam ahead on Aiomatic, as the AI world is exploding with new features and functionality. I want to keep being on top of the AI game and continue the work on this wonderful world of AI generated content.
2. Plugin support
2023 was a whirlwind year for my company, marked by an unprecedented surge in interest and demand for the Aiomatic plugin. This explosion in popularity inevitably led to a significant increase in customer support inquiries, a challenging feat since I personally handle all aspects of my business, including customer support.
In response to the overwhelming interest, I dedicated myself to addressing each query and resolving any issues that users encountered with my plugins. I recognize the importance of my plugins in our customers’ workflows, and I understand that any disruption can be both frustrating and detrimental. Therefore, I made it a priority to provide prompt and effective solutions, ensuring that each user’s experience with my products was as smooth and efficient as possible.
Balancing the various responsibilities of running a business single-handedly is no small task, but my commitment to customer satisfaction remains unwavering. I am immensely thankful for the patience and understanding shown by my customers during this period of rapid growth. As I strive to enhance and expand my offerings, I am excited to continue delivering exceptional customer support.
Looking forward, I am optimistic about maintaining this high standard of service and am grateful for the continued support and positive feedback, evidenced by the numerous five-star reviews my plugins have received. The journey through 2023 has been an inspiring testament to the potential of Aiomatic, and I am eager to see what the future holds.
3. Site Stats (coderevolution.ro)
I plan to discontinue tracking site stats, I no longer have time for following growth of this site. I continue to grow it slowly over time, but this is not a priority any more for me, at this time. The lack of time, forced me to give up on some of my side projects, unfortunately, site stats checking and growing is one of them.
4. YouTube Channel Videos
The CodeRevolutionTV YouTube channel saw a steady increase in subscribers this year, with the current count standing at 7795 (up from 5669 in 2021). I published a total of 197 new videos this year, featuring updates on my plugins and helpful tutorials for plugins and other tech related stuff. I can report that I reached and surpassed my 7,000 subscribers goal for 2023. The channel has become an essential platform for sharing updates and tutorials related to Aiomatic. A notable peak in viewership was observed with the release of a video on blocking YouTube from restricting ad blockers, demonstrating the potential of focused and relevant content.
5. Niche Sites
This is another part of my year end review posts that I need to scrap, because of lack of time. Sorry for this, maybe we will see this section come back during the next years, who knows! 🙂6. Online Courses
Currently, I don’t have plans to create any new online course, but this might change in the near future, as I could do a course solely on Aiomatic, as its feature set grew exponentially. Lets see what the future brings on this part also!Shifting Priorities
2023 has been a year of refocusing priorities:- WordPress Plugins: Unlike previous years where I released numerous plugins, this year saw zero new releases, as my efforts were concentrated on Aiomatic.
- Niche Sites and Online Courses: These aspects took a backseat as Aiomatic demanded more of my time and resources.
- Community Interaction: The feedback and ideas from the community have been invaluable, and I plan to continue incorporating these into future updates for Aiomatic.
Goals for 2024
Looking ahead, my primary focus for 2024 is to continue enhancing Aiomatic, potentially integrating more APIs and features. While the goal is to maintain support for existing plugins, I also intend to nurture the organic growth of my YouTube channel, thanks to the updates and ideas shared through it.Final Thoughts
2023 has been a transformative year, especially in terms of AI development and content creation. The journey with Aiomatic has been both challenging and rewarding, teaching me the value of focusing on a single, impactful project. As I look forward to 2024, I am excited to further develop Aiomatic, embrace new technologies, and continue engaging with the community, which really played a vital part in this journey.
