      Hello,

      To make sure that the plugin imports latest news, please uncheck the ‘Cache Items For Continuous Posting’ checkbox from importing rule settings -> save settings.

      Hi Szabi, I just noticed this issue too. Is the importing rule settings in the main settings? Can’t seem to find it.

      Hello,

      No, importing rule settings can be found in the ‘Latest News to Posts’ or ‘Custom News to Posts’ plugin menus -> by clicking on the ‘Settings’ buttons for created rules.

      Hello,

      I tried this. But even with the cache items unchecked, it still imports older articles. Like with the new Vice imports 2hrs ago, they were news that were posted 18 hrs earlier. So any assistance tofix this is much appreciated.

      Sorry, I think I just figured it out . If I want to post the lastest news I have to go through the custom news to posts, right?

      Yes, this is also correct.

      Also, the ‘Sort Results By’ settings field in importing rule settings should be set to ‘Latest’.

      Great. But there is a new issue with this. When I run the rule for each of the sources, the yellow error sign comes up…for all of the sources.

      The yellow icon is normal to come up in this case, because the plugin already imported all ‘latest’ articles to your site.

      Importing will resume when more latest posts will be available for importing from the API.

      Hello, you still need to look into this importing old news post issue. I just tried to import some news from pagesix.com and I used all the parameters you gave. It still imported the top news that was posted yesterday and at midnight, completely ignoring the latest news section.

      I checked and indeed the latest post available in the API from PageSix is dated 2021/09/09 at 4:00 am

      I check on this and ramp up importing speed.

      Still hasn’t been fixed. In fact non of the rules are running now. I even reduced the number of articles to 1-3 and it still isn’t importing. It’s getting frustrating.
