FBomatic stopped working on my sites and can’t get it back on track.
Is the new cookie method optional? I watched your video on how to set it up but if I have to create a separate facebook account and not log out of it, does it mean that I wont be able to use my own facebook account any more?
I hope we can resolve this as I really find this plugin helpful and use it on two client sites already

I checked and it seems Facebook deactivated the app id/secret I was sharing with you.
To further import content from Facebook, please use the cookie based authentication method.
Its due to Facebook made some restrictions on API so if you want to import content through official method you need to submit your app to Facebook verification and also needs business verification with a contract .
Regarding Facebook account, No it doesn’t mean you cannot use your account.
you can use your account.
As you seen in the video these cookies are saved in browsers so if you logout from it then the session will lost and need a new cookie to added to the plug-in .
In order to avoid such issues we recommend you to use a new Facebook account and use the cookies from that account, this just as a preventive measure, so your main Facebook account is not banned because of unauthorized use of the cookie method.
login to any browser and take the cookie to the plug-in
Close that browser
