    Hey Szabi,

     

    I’m absolutely stoked!  News0matic at that domain picked up a stack of extremely relevant articles without the query string.

    Then I configured Echo (thanks so much for the generous use of your clever creation!) and it picked up great articles too, including some I hadn’t seen before.

     

    A better than great outcome.

    Hi Szabi, hope I’m not jumping the gun but I can’t see in Main Settings or Custom News To Post settings where your RSS setting has been applied.  In the log, now news posts fetched yet.  Am I asking too soon or has a setting been missed?  Thanks and regards, so keen for outcome.  Cheers, David.

    G’day, that rural link is cool but about farming/agriculture. I did some digging on ABC News Australia for the Aged Care RSS feed and found this:

    It look very very topic specific –  containing the exact articles I’d like to import.  Can this help?

    Thanks Szabi.  With those settings correct, I reckon we’re close to a solution now.  Yep, feel free to check directly in those site with credentials given 🙂

    Thanks for this guidance Szabi – done.

    40-ish hours later, I’m still not having any luck.

    Do you think the following settings are correct for my goal?

    <u>Main Settings
    </u>Tick – Show Extended Item Information Metabox in Post
    Tick – Use Original Post Content For Posts That Don’t Match Defined Importing HTML Class/ID
    Tick – Strip Links From Generated Post Content

    <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Custom News To Post</span>
    Tick – Try to Get Full Article Content
    Blank – Select a percentage of the grabbed content that will be included in the article. This is useful when the author states that you can legally get up to 25% of the full article. To disable this feature, leave this field blank.
    Feature Disabled – Source Article Encoding

    Thanks for tip.  Done and time to sit back let API do its magic.  But quick question – to best avoid the ‘ravaged career’ thing, would your search query be:  aged AND care   … or … “aged care”

    I feel like trying the AND approach.

    Great stuff. Thank-you! Now should I delete out my unique Custom News To Post settings and start again, or just delete the irrelevant ones (ie. settings long related to ABC Australia)?  Thanks Szabi.
