Not sure if this plugin can be used with businesses other than restaurants.

Our objective is to create a mini “yelp” directory for our clients business.
They operate a online gold buying operation.

They would like the ability to import Yelp Listings from several yelp categories.

Can we select specific categories? (I believe we can from the video)
Can we create taxonomies for categories so they are hyperlinked

Can we import more information from the listings:

hours, business description, url, email, etc

Hello,

First of all, thank you for your purchase.

Sure, importing other businesses than just restaurants is possible. To do this, you have to select a category from which you wish to import the business, from the ‘Filter Category’ settings field, from importing rule advanced settings, as shown in this screenshot: https://ibb.co/4dTHDwf

Creating custom taxonomies is possible, please check this tutorial video for details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMIojmlI9fA (video applicable also for Yelpomatic).

Regarding more information importing, you can use the following shortcodes in the ‘Generated Post Content’ settings field (for complete listing of supported information which can be added from the plugin):

%%item_location%%, %%item_lat%%, %%item_lon%%, %%item_review_count%%, %%item_transactions%%, %%item_map%%, %%item_tags%%, %%item_phone%%, %%item_all_images%%, %%item_price%%, %%item_schedule%%, %%item_rating%%, %%item_questions%%, %%item_review_highlights%%, %%pinterest_share_button%%, %%twitter_share_button%%, %%facebook_share_button%%, %%item_view_menu%%, %%random_sentence%%, %%random_sentence2%%, %%item_title%%, %%item_url%%, %%item_read_more_button%%, %%item_show_image%%, %%item_image_URL%%, %%item_excerpt%%, %%item_get_directions%%, %%item_health_inspections%%

Thanks. Do we need to search city by city or can we search to pull a radius.

Say i want to search Dallas, Texas…. how can we pull all the listings in Dallas and surrounding areas?

Thanks again!

Currently only city based filtering is supported, the api is not allowing radius based filtering, sorry for this.

Thanks. Some businesses have multiple categories, like clothing, lingerie, etc. Can we add more than one per business?

Also im trying to setup a demo but its asking for

You must add a Yelp App ID and Secret before you can use this feature!

Hello,

Currently only a single category can be added to created posts, however, I noted this and will add multiple category selection in plugin settings in an upcoming update for the plugin.

Regarding fields, you can import the following ones:

(Business Name) = %%item_title%%
(Category) Hopefully more than one = can be set manually, in rule settings, based on existing categories on your site
(About the Business) – unfortunately this info is not shared by the Yelp API
(Address) – %%item_location%%
(Reviews) – %%item_review_highlights%%
(Images) – %%item_all_images%%
(Get Direction) – %%item_get_directions%%
(Hours) – %%item_schedule%%
(URL) – %%item_url%%
(PHONE) – %%item_phone%%
(MAP) – %%item_map%%
(Social Media Icons) – %%pinterest_share_button%%, %%twitter_share_button%%, %%facebook_share_button%%

Regards.

That shortcode will be replaced with a random sentence which can be set up in the plugin’s ‘Main Setting’ menu. Tutorial video on it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFQPXbH98R0

I am not sure if I understand your question, can you explain it in more detail, please?

Do you want to see a result of an example API call?

Regards.
