      Hello. VK no longer allows creating Standalone apps, so the plugin can’t be authorized properly. Posting from a WordPress blog to a VK group’s wall doesn’t work. What can we do?

      The plugin was updated to add support for the new authentication method. Please use the latest update for the plugin (redownload from CodeCanyon), please check this tutorial video for details: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xkRyp8_yqI

      Thanks for the reply. I initially downloaded the latest version of the plugin (2.0.0.3) from CodeCanyon and followed the video step by step. Authorization goes through, but I still can’t post from WordPress to VK — the plugin doesn’t see the list of groups, doesn’t transfer posts, and generally behaves as if the connection isn’t configured. For some reason it no longer asks for the authorization string; that might be the issue… I’ve just gone through the entire procedure again, step by step — unfortunately, it still doesn’t work.

      Indeed, I checked on this in detail and saw that the new VK.ru authentication method does not allow posting to wall or groups any more… This is unfortunate, I don’t see any causes why this should be limited now.

      Based on their docs, I see that posting can be made possible only if you have an old app created, you can access them here: https://dev.vk.com/ru/admin/created-apps-list

      If you have one, it would solve this issue. Otherwise, posting will no longer be possible, because of VK limitations.

      Unfortunately, it doesn’t work with the previously created application either; I’ve already checked. It’s a shame—the plugin was purchased specifically for posting from WP to VK 🙂

      I updated the plugin to v2.0.0.4 and readded the old authentication method, to the ‘Posts to VK’ menu of the plugin. Add your old API in settings and use the old auth method, I hope it helps.
