Hi folks,
Re: Learnomatic (for Udemy) Not Showing As External Affiliate Product In Woo & No Product URL
See this screenshot https://www.screencast.com/t/algNceIz
Can you update the plugin or send some code or what to do to fix this?
Imports should automatically be detected in Woo under Product data for each course that they are External/Affiliate products and the Product URL should automatically populate with the url as well (and if our affiliate id is added, of course, the affiliate ids should auto prepend to the url from the setting naturally.
Let me know?
🙂

Hello,
First of all, thank you for your purchase.
Please check this video tutorial on how to create WooCommerce external products using the Learnomatic plugin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YB6t4ZUw6Bw
Let me know if it helped.

Hey Szabi,
Sure thing and thanks. Perfect. That did it.
Couple other questions:
1. what additional content or description fields can we use to fill up the content description more? See here https://www.screencast.com/t/NNNqUk9B Or, perhaps there is some setting suppressing the description. Here are my current settings FYI:
2. Could we add all our Udemy products now and later add our affiliate id info (as we do not have one yet) so it will direct to our affiliate link. Or does the affiliate id have to be added “before” adding products to do it? Or, does it matter?
🙂

Hello,
1. To get full course description, please go to importing rule settings -> check the ‘Get Full Description for Courses’ checkbox -> save settings -> import new course. Video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9C69GtZnxo
2. Affiliate info can be added later.
Regards.

Hi Szabi,
Great…looking good. What would I need to do to populate this area with more info https://www.screencast.com/t/2FhpTWH6 ?

Oh…and to followup on the last post above (having trouble using your Edit post Action button FYI in this site so I have to add a different post)…is there a way to import more than one image to display and if so how?

Hello,
To be honest, I am no t sure what does your theme display in the area you highlighted. Maybe the product description? Not sure about this.
Also, right now, only one image can be added per generated post.

I will play with the right side of the product more. But, it is just like a short description before the long description below if that makes sense?
Oh, ok on the image. Are their plans for allow to pull in a declared about of images perhaps later down the road? For example, a option to pull the first x images (i.e. first 3, 5, 10 or whatever about of images we set maybe)?

Well, I am not sure if duplicating the description is a good idea, this might result in duplicate content SEO issues. The same content would be added twice to the page (even though, only a few paragraphs of it).
Regarding images, I will look into this, however, the Udemy API is providing only a single image for each course, I will check if there is another way to get multiple images of courses, but cannot promise anything on this.

Szabi,
Cool on the images . . . ok. Sounds fair enough . . . thanks.
Well, I was more thinking of like a excerpt or alternative “short” description for the info near the Buy button. The Buy button just looks a bit lonely . . . lol. Are there any available info we could import that could add to the listings to fill that space that is available ya think at the min?
🙂

Well, I am not sure how to add this excerpt. It might be a similar meta field like the ones you already added.
You might need to contact WooCommerce support and ask them how to add this programmatically.
Regards.
