Affiliate keyword replacement tool is changing the case of text that is being linked, when no text replacement (empty text input) is being input (when it’s the first word in the excerpt field being displayed).
In other words:
On the front-end, [Keyword] is becoming [keyword] when anchored (as the first word in the excerpt) withan empty “Replacement Keyword” field.
Thanks.

Also happening in the body of content. Probably just replaces the non-case sensitive search with the keyword being looked up.
That said, it would be ideal to search for terms regardless of capitalisation (so we don’t need to add capitalised versions of words to search for as well), yet maintains the capitalisation of the original text when inserting the anchor.
Thanks!

Hello,
Can you show me some screenshots of this issue, please, as I tried to reproduce this on my part, and I cannot see it happening. I might miss something.
Thank you.

Ok, I see now.
The next update will add a new checkbox in the ‘Keyword Replacer’ tab -> ‘Make Search Case Sensitive’ -> checking this checkbox will make the search case sensitive (you will need to define different rules for upper case words).
I hope this helps.
Regards.

Thank you 🙂
It helps, but would bebetter if we did not need to add every case option.
Your solution doubles or trippling the list size, right off the bat.
IF it’s possible, a more effective solution for the user would be to input 1 lower case keyword, which, when identified in any case, grabs the word from the location found and wraps that, rather than replacing the word.
Imagine this situation:
- tote bag (basic)
- Tote bag (contextual)
- Tote Bag (in a Headline Title Caps [non css])
Either way, thanks for your consideration.

Well, yes, this is a good alternative, however, the current method which the plugin uses to replace words does not allow this (preg_replace). Because of this, I added the current solution.
Sorry for this, will be thinking on alternative implementations for this for upcoming updates.
Regards.
