Hi I have installed the Tmomatic plugin on my website Live Music Travel using your plugin. However I do not understand how to track clicks and sales on the ticketmaster links which we are providing through the plugin. The impact support team have confirmed the links we are providing do not include any tracking code.

      Can you suggest any action?

      Thanks

      Leopoldo

      Hello,

First of all, thank you for your purchase.

Can you send me, please, temporary admin login credentials to your WordPress install, so I can check this issue out? Send it, please, to my email address: kisded@yahoo.com.

      Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.

      Hello,

Thank you for the login info.

I checked your site and found 2 problems.

The first one is that posts were not being created with links pointing back to TicketMaster, they were containing only the textual part of the event descriptions. To fix this, I added in the ‘Generated Post Content’ settings field for all rules you created in the plugin, the following:

      %%item_content%%<br/><br/>Get tickets for this event on: <a href=’%%item_url%%’ target=’_blank’>TicketMaster</a>.

Now created posts will contain also a link going to the TicketMaster sites.

The other issue I found is that the links generated by the plugin are not affiliate links, but plain links pointing directly to the event. This suggests that the API key you created is not set up correctly. Please follow the first part of this tutorial video, where I show how to create your TicketMaster API key to get also affiliate links in the plugin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm5uvmwJaQ0 (starting from minute 0:50 from this video). Please be sure to select ‘Impact Radius’ when selecting the ‘TicketMaster Affiliate IDs’ settings field (shown in minute 1:09 in the video). Also, be sure to add your Impact Radius Affiliate ID in the settings. You might need to create a new API account to do this, if you haven’t done this already.

Let me know if this helped.

      Regards, Szabi – CodeRevolution.

Hi Szabi, thanks for your support. I have a question about this point you specified via email:

Regarding the country selection, please use the ‘Event Country Code’ settings field from importing rule settings instead of the ‘Preffered Country’ settings field (which only boosts results for a specific country: us or ca – weird feature from their part).

How can we use the  ‘Event Country Code’ settings field INSTEAD of the ‘Preffered Country’ settings field? I have added the list of available codes in the settings of each category, but so far only events from Mexico have come through via the API as an addition to what we were getting before adding the list of codes.

Please let me know if you can look into it and I will restore your credentials to access the dashboard.

      Best regards.

      Hello,

Please let me know what country code you tried to use in the ‘Event Country Code’  settings field and I check on this and help.

      Regards.

Hi as per the screenshot I have added the following codes: uk, it, de, be, dk, cz, at, fi, mx, nz, ie, pl, au, no, es, nl, sv, ch

However the Preferred Country setting is a dropdown menu and there is no way to deselect it.

Please also check your email about a proposal to collaborate more actively and consider scheduling a call if you are interested in any way.

      Best regards

      Leopoldo

      Hello,

Please try using a single country code in the ‘Event Country Code’ settings field, for example: it

Let me know if this helped.

      Regards.

Hi, as my aim would be to have events from all available countries, I’m afraid this solution is not ideal. Do you think it would make sense to seek support from the Ticketmaster API developers on the issue?

Thanks for your help so far.

Sure, I can also suggest this. If they have a way to query multiple countries using the same request, I will be glad to add support for it to the plugin.

      Regards.

Hi, this is the reply I received from the Impact support team. Is there a way to extract the syntax of the API call to verify if the country codes are embedded into it?

      Thanks for your support.

      Hi Leopoldo,
      <div></div>
<div dir=”ltr”>Thank you for contacting the impact.com Customer Solutions Team!

You mention you are pulling data from the Ticketmaster API populating your WordPress DB, and that you are selecting the countries in the plugin. I’m not sure how the API calls are being generated/changed when you add those countries to the plugin. Also, when checking your impact.com account for the events, are other country values being added to the events?</div>
      <div dir=”ltr”></div>
<div dir=”ltr”>I would find an event in your WordPress DB and then find that same action/event in your impact.com reports and check the details of that action/event, also it would be a good idea to check the countries on the actions being pulled into your impact.com reports and then check if the actions are being pulled into your WP DB.</div>
      <div dir=”ltr”></div>
<div dir=”ltr”>Adding the countries code to the plugin may not be editing the API call that actually pulls that data, or there is no support for those countries, the Brand could be suppressing events from those countries as well.</div>
      <div dir=”ltr”></div>
<div dir=”ltr”>I would reach out to the brand if you are able to see any events/actions in impact with those countries and inquire why the plugin does not pull in those actions/events.</div>
      <div dir=”ltr”></div>
      <div dir=”ltr”>I hope this helps!</div>
      <div dir=”ltr”>
      Best
      Shaheen M</div>

      Hello,

Please send me temporary admin login credentials to your site and I will install a custom version of the TMomatic plugin, which will also display the API URL which it queries, so the TicketMaster support will have also this information. My email is support@coderevolution.ro

      Regards.
