      Hi,

I’ve just purchased the ebayomatic plugin and going trough the setup options. The tutorial video / docs don’t include any information regarding the API keys configuration (not good!).

I’ve created a production auto token as ebay dev, however I’m unable to set the Ebay Cert ID until the ebay API successfully sends a test notification to the plugin endpoint. I have setup the closure end point URL correctly within ebay and created a verification token which matches inside the plugin and ebay.

Is there any useful documentation/logging to investigate the issue?

      Hello,

First of all, thank you for your purchase.

Please check this video regarding the Closure Notifications settings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSYIis2MVJs&list=PLEiGTaa0iBIirzZF_Hoa6e5T1P6QORmSV&index=4

Thank you for the info and quick response.

However when you setup a new auth key you can’t obtain the secret ID until the notification message endpoint test has been completed. Your video shows an existing ebay auth key, not when you are trying to create from no existing auth keys.

Probably easier if I phrase in a direct question:
      1. Will the endpoint verification message from ebay work if the plugin is missing the secret ID?

      2. If the answer to question 1 is no, how am I supposed to make this work if ebay needs to send a valid message to the endpoint in order to create the secret key?

I’ve validated all the steps in your setup video against my config and the only item I can’t complete is the secret ID based on the test message.

      Hello,

Thank you for letting me know your concern about the API key/secret pair.

Fortunately the Account Closure Notification process from the plugin is not dependent on the API key/secret pair and will be able to be configured without a valid API key/secret pair.

All you need is the ‘eBay Verification Token’, shown in the video linked above.

      Regards.

      Thanks for the quick reply.

I’ve manually created a verification token in notepad, which I’ve entered into the plugin field (saved), then entered into the ebay notification field (saved). All other fields align with the video instructions for the plugin and ebay notifications, however I receive the following error in ebay when trying to send the test notification:

Marketplace account deletion endpoint validation failed. Click here to learn more about setting up an endpoint.

      Hello,

I checked and it seems that the issue was caused by the ‘eBay Verification Token’ you used.

I generated a random string from here: http://www.unit-conversion.info/texttools/random-string-generator/ – of any length between 32 and 80 characters and validating worked afterwards in the eBay API.

Please check and let me know if it worked for you also.

      Regards.

Thanks Szabi, I’m up and running now. I don’t know why the previous random verification token didn’t work.

      Thanks for the great support.

      Hello,

In a previous version, the plugin was using Auction Request to list eBay products, however, in the latest update this is removed and moved to the official eBay API.

Thank you for letting me know of this forgotten link, I will remove it.

      Regards.

      Hello,

I updated the plugin on your site, added the functionality to it to specify the custom category ID you wish to query. You will find the new settings field in the importing rule settings -> ‘Custom Category ID’ settings field.

      Regards.

I checked and it seems the eBay API is not returning some product results, it omits some results.

For example, I returns results for Suzuki GS500 but not for Suzuki RG500. Searched in category 9808

I will try to contact eBay API support and ask them about this.

Unfortunately the issue is in the eBay api, not in the plugin. I contacted eBay api support, but still no response from them.

      Sorry for this inconvenience.

Currently the eBay API is not providing the narrative description separately in their response for products. The %%item_content%% shortcode contains the description returned from them.

      Regards.
