I’m trying to copy news articles from one of our news sites to another to save editorial time copying and pasting.

The issue is that the RSS feed (with the full article) from the parent site includes the main image twice as the Featured Image is not used on the actual post to allow editorial to change the first pic in a story if they want to – but more often than not the Featured image and the 1st image in the post are actually the same. So this means the RSS feed for most stories includes two copies of the same image.

When importing with EchoRSS the post created on the child site imports the featured image, but also places the same image twice in the actual post before any content.

Is there a way to stop this? Am I missing a setting in the admin that would stop this?

NB both parent and child sites are set up to not show the featured image on the post – so the images are being embeded in the actual post content.

      Example of the feed: http://cumbriacrack.com/tag/cwh/feed

      Thanks

      Stuart

      Hello,

First of all, thank you for your purchase.

Please go to the plugin’s ‘Main Settings’ menu -> check the ‘Strip Featured Image From Generated Post Content’ checkbox -> save settings -> import new posts.

Let me know if this helped.
