Keyword Replacement Tool => removing capital letter

Affiliate keyword replacement tool is changing the case of text that is being linked, when no text replacement (empty text input) is being input (when it's the first word in the excerpt field being displayed). In other words: On the front-end, [Keyword] is becoming [keyword] when anchored (as the first word in the excerpt) withan  empty "Replacement Keyword" field. Thanks.
