I recommend that you also read the SEO Guide I provided with the plugin. To read it, click on this link: Gryphon SEO Guide to give you insights about how to maximize your SEO potential when you work on your articles.

The next entry in our settings list is Facebook Meta Tags panel:
Here you can find the settings to configure the Open Graph (OG) meta tags that Facebook and other social networks use to display information about your page, when it is shared (page preview). You can find options for:
- Facebook App Id: To use the Facebook tools, like the Facebook registration tool, you need to create a Facebook App. When you make a Facebook App, that app will have an App ID and an App Secret. With the App ID, you can send several requests to Facebook for data. The Facebook App Secret will be used to decode the encrypted messages from Facebook, so that sensitive information remains protected. Get one here. After you have an App ID, enter your it in the textbox.

- Exclude post IDs from site map: Exclude post IDs from site map.
- Home page priority: The priority of this URL relative to other URLs on your site. Valid values range from 0.0 to 1.0. When a .htaccess file is placed in a directory which is in turn 'loaded via the Apache Web Server', then the .htaccess file is detected and executed by the Apache Web Server software. - Create robots.txt if it does not exist: Web site owners use the /robots.txt file to give instructions about their site to web robots; this is called The Robots Exclusion Protocol. We recommend to leave this checled.
- Add link of sitemap to robots.txt: This setting will add a link of your sitemap to robots.txt, so crawling bots will find your sitemap with ease.

- NOINDEX: NOINDEX is a meta tag that can be displayed to search robots, that requests them not to index content. The specific directive differs between each search robot. - NOODP: NOODP is a meta tag that tells search engines such as Google not to use the Open Directory Project as a source for generating titles and descriptions in search results.
- NOYDIR: NOYDIR is a meta tag that tells search engines such as Google not to use the Yahoo! Directory as a source for generating titles and descriptions in search results.
- Remove query strings: Resources with a ''? or '&' in the URL are not cached by some proxy caching servers, and moving the query string and encode the parameters into the URL will increase your WordPress site performance significantly.
Next, is the Google Analytics panel:
Here you can find include the Google Analytics tracking code in your web page. Here, you can find:
- Google Analytics tracking ID:: Add your tracking ID, from Google Analytics. Information on how to get it, you can find here.
Next, we can find the Breadcrumbs Settings panel:
Here you can find settings related to creating and adding to your website the breadcrumbs widget. Breadcrumbs or breadcrumbs trail is a graphical control element used as a navigational aid in user interfaces. It allows users to keep track of their locations within programs, documents, or websites. The term comes from the trail of bread crumbs left by Hansel and Gretel in the fairy tale of the same name. It is very useful for users that visit your site, but also for crawling bots. The settings are:
- Separator between breadcrumbs: The character to be displayed between breadcrumbs entrys.
- Anchor text for the Homepage: The text to be shown for the root of the breadcrumb.
- Prefix for Search Page breadcrumbs: The text to be shown for the search page breadcrumb.
- Breadcrumb for 404 Page: The text to be shown for the 404 (page not found) page breadcrumb.
If you read through the settings ofGryphon SEO Tools Plugin, at the Breadcrumbs section, you'll first see a checkbox labeled Enable Breadcrumbs. This needs to be checked in order to get the breadcrumb functionality to work with your WordPress site.
Once enabled, we still need to add a simple line of PHP code to our theme. Breadcrumbs can live on pages, single post pages, and more. It will vary based on where you place the code on each individual website you have. I'll focus on the single post temple within our theme.
You will need to open the single.php file, found insede your theme to target each individual post on our website and add breadcrumbs to them.
<?php if ( function_exists('seo_custom_breadcrumbs') ) {
seo_custom_breadcrumbs();
} ?>
So from here we copy and past the code above and insert it inside the single.php file.
With the code added, all of our blog posts now have breadcrumbs. Now I know using breadcrumbs in the way I have here doesn't prove to be that useful. In fact, I don't recommend you use this on your posts, but rather on pages and only pages that are many levels deep. Large sites like I spoke of before need breadcrumbs to help the user keep order of where they are on the site and how to step back to different pages if needed.
If you look closely you'll notice new links and text present before the post title in the image above. See how easy it is to add breadcrumbs? If you still need help with breadcrumb installation, please contact me at support@coderevolution.ro e-mail adress, and I will be happy to help!
