  1. here my input after I tried the demo. I think you should add this.
    1. Item content should be more maybe atleast 500 characters or more.
    2. add duplicate rule function
    3. allow the system to accept a rule with location only or search quiries only not both
    4. add auto delete post

  2. Hello,

    1) You can grab full item content from CareerJet (on my test site this is not active, because my host’s ip is blocked at CareerJet – it was already, before I installed this plugin…).

    2) Yes, this is a good idea, will come soon.

    3) This option was already implemented in the latest plugin version.

    4) Good idea, but I recently added a new plugin, especially for this. Check it out here:

    Thank you for the ideas,

    Szabi – CodeRevolution.

  3. A couple of pre-sales questions…

    1. Is it possible to pre-fill the search boxes on the custom-job-search shortcode? ie. if I only want searches to be from one city or state.

    2. Is it possible to have the affiliate link in the excerpt rather than link to the post first?

    Many thanks

  4. Hello,

These 2 features are not available in the current plugin version. But, these are very good ideas. I have added them to my todo list and will implement them in the next plugin update.

Also, can you explain to me again the second suggestion, because I did not understood it fully. Thank you.

    Szabi – CodeRevolution.

  5. Excellent, thank you. Do let me know when the new version comes out.

Ref the second question, a list of posts in wordpress brings up excerpts with a read more link which you click to see the full post. The CJ link would be at the end of the post page. I would prefer the affiliate link to be in the excerpt rather than having to read more before you can click through to CJ. Does that make more sense?

  6. Hello,

I have made an update for the plugin, added the ability to add prefilled values to the search form input boxes. You can test it here:

    Use this shortcode for testing:

    [careeromatic-custom-job-search what_text='What:' what_prefill="" where_prefill="London" what_description='Job title, keywords or company name' where_text='Where:' where_description='City, state or country (optional)' find_text='find' width='auto' backgound_color='#FFFFFF' border_color='#919294' border_width='1px' font_type='Arial, sans-serif' font_size='13px' navigation_font_size='20px' button_width='130px' text_color='#000000' link_color='#198ADC' custom_css='.bloggerDiv{display:none;}td {border: 0px solid transparent !important;}' ad_density='3' max='7' sort_results='no' contract_type='any' contract_period='any' content_source='en_US' result_div_id='cjSearchResult']

Regarding the affiliate link in the excerpt , this was already possible in the plugin, all you have to do, it place it in the beginning of your post content, and WordPress will automatically include it also in the post excerpt.

  7. Okay, please do check. It would seem strange that the RSS can go straight to the advertiser but the API can’t do the same thing.

  8. Hello,

I have checked this and it seems that the api will also forward the url to the job source website, but only for jobs that have a source website and it is available in your region. For the rest, it will take you to the CareerJet job post.
